|
This session will focus on experimental and theoretical studies on the
tropical tropopause layer and the tropical lower stratosphere, e.g. on
tropical aerosol and cirrus, deep convection, transport from the
boundary layer through the TTL up to the stratosphere and chemical,
long-range transport, distribution and chemical transformation of key
species. We welcome contributions from recent field experiments (e.g.
HIBISCUS, TROCCINOX, SCOUT-O3, ACTIVE, TWP-ICE, CR-AVE, AMMA), satellite and
ground-based observations as well as related laboratory and model studies.
