Information - AS3.10 Modelling, Data-Assimilation and Source-Sink Inversion for operational Atmospheric Composition
Event Information
Comprehensive Earth-system modelling and data assimilation capabilities to monitor the composition of the atmosphere and to forecast atmospheric composition as well as atmospheric dynamics and thermodynamics are under development worldwide, and within the European projects GEMS and PROMOTE in particular. The purpose of the session is to review the state of the art in modelling data-assimilation and inversion, using both satellite and in-situ data, in the domains of green-house gases, reactive gases, aerosols and regional air quality.
This session is dedicated to the memory of Dr. A. Hollingsworth (1943 - 2007), who put together the GEMS project and was its coordinator.
