Information - GMPV06 Island arc magmatism: from source input to volcanic output (co-sponsored by EAG)
Event Information
This session will focus on the interaction of physical and chemical processes during island arc magmatism. The session aims to address important questions such as the input for arc magmatism (slab vs wedge; fluid vs melt), intra-mantle and intracrustal fractionation and modification processes, eruptive products and mechanisms. We welcome contributions from igneous petrology, volcanology, numerical modeling, geochemistry, geophysics describing/analyzing any aspect of both active and fossil island arc magmatic systems.
