Registration

Registration for the 12th Plinius Conference on Mediterranean Storms is through payment of the appropriate registration fee. There is no waiving of registration fees except for invited speakers and assisting attendees assigned by the Local Organizing Committee.

The registration fee includes participation in the meeting, and the programme book.

A special committee will select "best poster" and "best oral presentation" for the "Med-Storm Prize for Young Researchers".

The registration fee also includes participation in all Social Events:

  • Coffee Breaks (All days);
  • Lunches (Wednesday – Friday, 01 – 03 September 2010);
  • Visit to City at End-of-Session (Thursday 02 September 2010);
  • Gala Dinner on Friday, 03 September 2010;
  • Conference Excursion (includes lunch) on Saturday, 04 September 2010.

Student Fees

Up to ten (depending on needs) partial registrations (€210) are available for undergraduates and postgraduate (masters and PhD) students. Please apply directly to the Programme Committee Chair before 23 July 2010. This will be determined on a first come, first serve basis, and will require that (i) you are first author of the abstract you are submitting, (ii) a cover letter from the student indicating their need and why they would benefit from coming to the conference, (iii) a letter of support from an academic at the student's university confirming the enrolment status of the student, that the student has no direct recourse to university or government grant's (e.g. research grants), and any other information about the student that would be helpful.

On-Site Registration

Registration at the on-site rate will take place at the registration desk (cash or credit card).

Conditions and Cancellation Policy

Pre-registration must be accompanied by payment, otherwise it will not be processed and the on-site registration rate will apply.

The registration fees are not transferable.

Registration fees will be refunded only if a notice of cancellation is received by the Local Organizing Committee before 01 August 2010. You should notify the local organizing committee by e-mail.

  • E-mail received before 01 August 2010: full refund less €50 handling fee;
  • E-mail received 01 – 18 August 2010: 50% refund;
  • E-mail received after 18 August 2010: no refund of pre-registration fees.
