10th Plinius Conference on Mediterranean Storms

Student and Young Scientists Support & Awards

During the Conference, two prizes of €300 and €200 will be awarded to the best contribution (either Oral or Poster) presented by young researchers. The goal of this prize is to foster innovative research on the understanding and prediction of Mediterranean storms and their ground effects. Five students will receive travel support of €100 each.

The selection will be made during the Conference and will be based on the originality and relevance of the contribution and the quality of the presentation. Conditions for eligibility are:

• Being the first and presenting author of a contribution;
• Being no more than 35 years old on the first of January 2008;
• Being either a student or a Post-Doc.

Contributions including co-authors who are members of the Prize Selection Committee are excluded from the competition.

A Young Scientist Travel Award amounting to €500 will be awarded by the European Meteorological Society – for details see here.
